What is Bossier KIDS? You could say our
roots are deep in Bossier Parish but our
service extends far; we serve most of NW
Louisiana. Bossier KIDS was recently
described by Kim Bigler, founder of James
Storehouse Louisiana, as a model Christian
foster care program, an intentional village
that is on the front lines of foster care. The
community we have crafted cares for the
most vulnerable children; those abused
and neglected, who are in the state foster
care system. We are independent of state
funding and this has caused some difficult
years for us. We’ve worked hard and our
families have given hundreds of children a
loving home. It has been a tremendous
journey that we began over thirty-five
years ago. We are humbled and grateful to
be where we are today. Our community
has given, sacrificed and cared for us.
In 2018 we were honored in Washington
DC by the Congressional Coalition on
Adoption Institute as an Angels in
Adoption Honoree. Though we have been
given this prestigious honor, it is our
greatest honor to be able to give children a
place to be kids and have the love they so
richly deserve.
